Anchor Baptist Church

Missions

"How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace..."

Romans 10:15

Anchor is a Missions- Minded Church. We support multiple missionaries in several different countries, and have the prayer to see the gospel taken to each of those places. In  each part of our mission statement, one thing is distinct; To see Jesus proclaimed not only in our community, but in each community around the world. This would not be possible without the faithful prayer and financial support that the people of Anchor give.

how to give to missions

at Anchor Baptist Church

We support around 50 different Missionaries and ministries at Anchor. Not only financially, but in continual prayer. We know that none of this would be possible without the people of Anchor, and their faithful giving. Every year we give people an opportunity to commit to faith promise. Where you pray about and commit to giving to our missions monthly. This is not a requirement or something we follow up on, just a way for you to pray about what the Lord would have you give.

Missionaries sent out of Anchor Baptist Church

Jeremy and Teresa Hare

We were sent out of Anchor to help plant the church in January of 2022. Jeremy serves as one of two pastors that leads this congregation and Teresa and the kids are involved in serving in a number of ways.

Redeemer is a portable church that currently meets at the YMCA in Hutto, Texas. The dress is casual, the people are loving, and the truth is that we are all broken and in need of grace that can only be found in Jesus. In our service, we preach through books of the Bible, we sing songs centered on Jesus, we observe communion weekly and we welcome all ages.  Children’s ministry is offered during the gathering from infant to 1st grade.

We are so thankful for both the support and encouragement that Anchor has been for us as we endeavor to make healthy disciples and plant healthy churches.

Beca Acuna

Hello everyone. I was born in Arkansas, raised in Zacatecas, Mexico and went to college in Wichita Falls! That’s when I became part of Anchor Baptist Church.
I studied nursing at Midwestern State University and there I got connected to the Baptist Student Ministries (BSM). I had been a follower of Jesus for a few years, but it was in college that my discipleship through Anchor and the BSM the Lord solidified in me a passion for making disciples and mobilizing others to do the same.
Since 2019, I have served on staff with BSM and now I have been sent to Mexico City!
Here, I spend my days doing outreach to a campus of 250,000+ students and creating resources in Spanish for others who want to tell people about Jesus.

I am so grateful for my Anchor Baptist Church family who stands with me in the Great Commission work we are all called to in Christ “
